Built from the frustration of wanting to play —
and not knowing where to start.
Wapp was created to connect local athletes, simplify team organization, and make amateur sports easier to join, run, and grow.
How it started
Wapp was born from a simple problem: local sports are full of people who want to play, but the tools around them are still broken.
The idea started during a family trip to the Netherlands. Daniel wanted to join a local game, but had no way to connect with nearby players or teams. The local sports scene existed, but it was hidden behind private chats, word-of-mouth, and closed circles.
At the same time, the organizer side was just as messy. Amateur coaches and team leaders were still relying on group chats, manual attendance tracking, last-minute messages, and endless admin just to get a game going.
That disconnect became the starting point for Wapp. Players needed a better way to find games. Teams needed a better way to welcome reliable players. Organizers needed better tools to manage everything without the weekly headache. Wapp exists to bring all of that into one mobile platform.
The Wapp Mission
Our mission is to make it effortless for athletes to play the sports they love — while giving community coaches, organizers, and teams the tools to manage their activity without the chaos.
Who we are
Daniel
CEO & FounderDaniel holds a B.Sc. in Software Engineering and has over six years of experience building complex backend infrastructure, databases, and scalable systems.
Wapp started from a real frustration. As an amateur athlete who trains several times a week, Daniel found himself stuck during an annual family trip to the Netherlands: he wanted to play, but had no way to find local pickup games or teams. Everything seemed locked inside private groups and local circles. That night, sitting at the dining table, he opened his laptop and started building the first version of Wapp.
Ron
CSO & Co-FounderRon brings around six years of experience rooted in Quality Assurance, with a strong focus on building reliable, user-centered products. At Wapp, he leads business strategy, growth, and the push to bring the platform to the communities that need it most.
For Ron, the problem was clear from the organizer side: amateur coaches and community leaders spend too much time chasing replies, managing attendance, coordinating lineups, and keeping players updated across endless chat threads.
Built together.
Together, Daniel and Ron are building Wapp to take the chaos out of local sports coordination — so players, teams, and organizers can focus on the game.
